Monday at Cologne. We went to beach and in the evening we met up with Alena, we had some drinks in various bars, nice!

Tuesday morning we made our own breakfast at the motels kitchen.. actually we did also in monday but no pictures. After that to the beach again with Alena, she borrowed helmet and got to ride with Samuli! From the beach back to the motel to get our driving suits and then to Nordschleife, but we didnt get there.....

We were between Cologne and Bonn when then line stopped totally at the highway and Samuli was looking at the GPS. I said to the helmetphone BRAKE, he did but far too hard. Bike did almost a frontflip and landed on Samuli and then the bike infront of him and that bike hit the car infront.... The ambulance took him to Bonns university hospital.

Samuli knows best but I think he has fractured ribs on the right side and also in right side fractured scapula. And some fluid in the right side near the lungs, that was causing the pain but know he has a tube there, where the fluids come out.

I thought it would be nice to have somebody with me to go see him in the evening. So I asked Alena, I was so happy that she was willing and it was good to have someone who speaks German. We took a taxi there and back, because I wanted to get there as soon as possible. Alena was sooooo kind and asked me if I want to stay at her place, so here I am couchsurfing once again :)

Today on wednesday I also went to see him and took some clothes and shoes to him for the time he gets out. And he is going to be OK. They still dont know how long he has to be there, and I need to leave on friday. Tomorrow to see him of course and I think Tanja will come with me :) And also tomorrow we´re going to send some of Samulis stuff back to Finland

I think this is gonna be my last update on this trip, so next update from Finland! And the depressing sunday, because on monday back to work!

Die grüne hölle

So friday morning we went shoping some t-shirts at New yorker in Stuttgart and also we ate some good pizza's in Vapiano. After that we packed our stuff and left Tarja's place around 3pm and headed to Bonn where Tanja and Tine were kind enough to host our stuff over the weekend :)

In the morning in Davos(isotaaki) we started oiling our bikes chains but the oil ran out, so Samulis chains got halfoiled and mine didn't get any :( After that we headed for the ultimate roads at Stelvio Pass. So here's a few pictures.

Juhas bike started asking more oil to the engine at the alps. Se we bought one litre and started adding little by little and eventually the whole bottle went in! After stelvio we drove to Innsbruck to spend the night in Youth hostel. In the same dorm was this photographer from Australia and Japanese guy who was biking around Europe.

So after the little maintenance break at the morning we drove to Stuttgart to see our friend Tarja and to spend couple of nights at her place.

Yeeesterday we went out to drink lots of beer and we had a lot of fun. We all took different taxis to make sure we spent the maximum amount of money.

Today morning we had a bit of hangover,  some more than others (Tarja) :D But we managed to get our clothes washed. In the evening we went to have a BBQ at the park but of course it started raining pretty soon so we had to finish the eating part here at Tarjas place.

Tomorrow morning we're going to buy a tent and some cool t-shirts from New Yorker and then we're off to Nurburgring to watch the 24hour race, so we'll be back maybe on sunday or monday!

On the road again

So tired again! But I'm still gonna write something. So the weekend went nicely in Nice, we didn's see _any_ sights, we slept at hotel.. not couch :( Just hanging in the beach and drinking beer and lotsa swimming! We also met these Finnish guys Pauli, Mikael and Kulaus who were Interrailing.

Since the beach in Nice was all rocks as you can see in the pictures we drove to Cannes on saturday and found some sand, also some pictures from there.

Wallets are starting to be empty.

After Nice we headed out to France alps to do some serious driving, because that's why we came here! The scenery was breathtaking, had to take a lot of pictures because my eyes couldn't handle it. And the roads, let just say that there will be video update soon as we get decent internet connection.

After the mountains we decided to look for a motel or hotel from Italy, so we drove to Torino, it sucked, we ate pizza there and left to Novara! We arrived there about midnight, and it sucked too! We looked for a hotel, driving around the city at night, first one we found was 140e per night, not good. Second was ok prize but the beds were hard as a rock. And by the way our GPS had no maps from Italy at all, and the roadsigns here suck also!

 Monday morning we went to MacDonalds to get some Wifi so we could update the Italy map to our GPS, but the connection sucked also. So we got a little bit lost to Italy countryside on our way to Switzerland. But after many wrong turns we finally got to Swizzzzzz and got our GPS telling where to go. So Italy wasn't too good experience :(

We swam at this crazy big lake near the alps, felt good because the air temperature was 32 celcius. Had some more awesome Top Gear roads, recorded some nice driving clips. Samulis registerplate dropped off at some point but it was still hanging on.

Currently we are staying in this awesome hostel in Davos, we have 6 people dorm for just the two of us! Tomorrow we have one Top Gear road left, after that to Germany somewhere.
